SOKAL is Hiring a Paid Social Specialist Near Raleigh, NC

The Paid Social Media Specialist role at Sokal requires someone analytical and adaptable with a desire to solve problems and improve products. Our team manages the implementation and optimization of paid search advertising. We love spreadsheets, data, new ideas, and making things better than we found them. Paid Social Media Specialists must be flexible, efficient, have good time management skills, and operate well in a team setting.

Basic Functions & Scope

The Social Media Specialist launches all paid social media advertisement orders each month, monitoring the setup and timely execution of all client campaigns and making optimization adjustments based on assessment of results. The ideal candidate is an analytical, creative and detail-oriented individual that has a curiosity in what influences a consumer throughout their path to purchase.

Position Responsibilities

Campaign Optimization

  • Assess and modify settings, audiences and targeting to maximize KPIs determined for each product and client
  • Understand how all the pieces work together to impact a campaign and utilize this knowledge to improve the campaign
  • Proactively self-educate on new social media opportunities (targeting, features, trends, etc.) in order to develop career growth and identify untapped potential for current campaigns.

Campaign Build and Execution

  • Plan and execute social media plans within budget, that deliver results to exceed client expectations
  • Effectively utilize and implement targeting information given by Account Managers and/or Google Analytics
  • Build campaigns for new customers based on given templates
  • Monitor new and existing accounts for KPI performance, troubleshooting accounts to ensure optimization
  • Process orders through Chassis and assist in reconciling billing with the Accounting Dept on a monthly basis

Internal Customer Relations

  • Report to manager and/or Account Managers any errors or ideas of how to get better campaign performance
  • Respond to internal emails, and / or any other forms of communication, in a timely fashion, ensuring that the issues are resolved
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within Sokal
  • Actively assist in resolving issues that may not be assigned to any specific digital team
  • Participate in team projects and work in a positive manner with other members of the team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equal years of experience to demonstrate the necessary competencies required for the position
  • Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a keen ability to effectively and professionally communicate ideas to coworkers and other departments
  • Proficient in MS Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Proficient in G Suite, including Google Drive
  • Must have 2 years of professional experience in the management of paid social ads, including Facebook Ads Manager
  • Digital agency experience a strong plus
  • Technical savvy highly desirable
  • Must be a team player in all avenues
  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • Flexibility to perform in a fluid environment with day-to-day or even hourly changes in priorities
  • Strong desire to learn along with an eagerness to interface with new technologies

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Working Conditions

Social Media Specialists are seated for 6-8 hours per day, performing constant motions such as typing and using other computer equipment. Certain situations may require bending, squatting, or lifting objects that do not exceed more than 25lbs.

Career Progression

Typically, new hires must undergo a 90-day probationary period. During this time, the new employee will be a Trainee until all necessary competencies have been met. After the 90-day probationary period, the Trainee will be expected to understand the core competencies of the position in order to advance to Specialist.
